Sèvres. Ceramics and manufacturing.

Talk about Sèvres is talk about French ceramics. A manufacturing factory that since 1740 makes detailed work and study materials to incorporate into their creations.

It has gone through different and distressing stages throughout its history, with first turbulent years , new styles , the invention of the biscuit , the establishment in Sèvres, economic difficulties, the Revolution, Republics , Empires ... and with all this, they have emerged as the latest manufacturing in Europe wich has all the knowledge passed from generation to generation.

Their porcelain's quality and unique shapes and decorations, have given them a name in the world . We like the well done work, perseverance , refinement, and this joint Sevres to offer decorative and useful objects that for their beauty are already in museums and galleries.

I choose (if I have to choose...)  one of the artists of the eighteenth century who worked in the manufacturing : Duplessis father was a goldsmith and bronze-smith , and from 1748 he designed most of the methods that were used in Sèvres.

Hablar de Sèvres es hablar de cerámica francesa. Una fábrica manufacturera que desde 1740 realiza trabajos minuciosos y estudia materias primas para incorporarlas a sus creaciones.

Ha pasado por diferentes y angustiosas etapas a lo largo de su historia, unos primeros años turbulentos, nuevos estilos, la invención del bizcocho, el establecimiento en Sèvres, dificultades económicas, la Revolución, Repúblicas, Imperios...y con todo ello, se han consolidado como la última manufactura de Europa que posee todos los conocimientos transmitidos de generación en generación.

La porcelana de calidad, y sus formas y decoraciones inigualables, les han dado renombre mundial. Hay que reconocer el trabajo bien hecho, la constancia, el refinamiento, y en Sévres todo esto de junta para ofrecernos objetos decorativos y útiles que por su belleza ya están en muchos museos y galerías.

Yo me quedo con uno de los artistas del siglo XVIII que trabajaron en esta manufactura: Duplessis padre, era orfebre y broncista, y a partir de 1748 diseñó la mayoría de las formas que se utilizaban en Sèvres.
